Sakuraba is also one of my favorite legends of the sport. I wish they could have put together Rickson Gracie and Sakuraba back in the day. That would have been a great matchup. How do you see that one turning out? Right now for Best All Around MMA fighter of modern times I have to go with Anderson "the spider" Silva. He has a huge test in Dan Henderson coming in March of 2008, but I think he walks right through Henderson in the first round.

sakuraba would have beaten rickson i think because in his prime saku was so nasty and when he was beating all the gracies i think he has the mind game won. dan vs anderson will be great

Randy is awesome and so is minatoro, I really hope that randy agrees to fight him. Whats the word with that? I am looking forward to Dec 8th when Roger Huerta fights clay Guida. time to seperate the boys from the men. Who do you pick in these two fights?

I would have to go with Sakuraba as well, except I think if it hit the ground it could have been Rickson's win, but Saku has such a diverse strategy and gameplan that he may have held his own on the mat, but the standup definately goes to Saku. Also Rickson was alot heavier than all of the other Gracies , I think he was above185. So I don't know if the weight difference would have had an impact or not, but Rickson's Jiu Jitsu was easily the best in the family. Saku was 185. What is really interesting is that Helio lost to Kimura from Japan from the Kimura lock. Renzo and Royler also both lost to a japanese fighter from a Kimura as well.

My bet would be Huerta will win in his last couple of fights he has shown he is an inteligent fighter and also has some fire inside . Who elso would think to use the big screen to see where the guy was on his back. As for 79 My picks are starting with GSP, Wanderlei,Remy and Dean lister When and how I dont know I have never been good with that part. That also the reason I dont do football cards

Huerta needs to fight someone who is MMA proven like Kurt Pellegrino. That would really solidify his position in the lightweight division.

clay is a semi established fighter i think. hard hitter and a good test since no one knows who is who for the light weights this could lead to a big fight for either fighter

I think Huerta outskills Clay in all areas, but Huerta is usually the one setting the pace. In this one I think Guida is gonna set a really fast pace, so I guess we will have to see how Huerta handles that. I would like to see Huerta finish this year strong and look forward to some high level competition in 2008!
