We all saw how Roger held up against a very powerful Clay Guida Saturday night on the Ultimate Fighter Finale, if not go and catch a replay on Spike TV. I truly believe that Roger answered alot of Questions on Saturday Night and the rest of the Lightweight Division should look out for "El Matador" in 2008!

I agree, even hermes might be too good for him, give him Kurt Pellegrino. Clay Guida vs Mac Danzig would be great! Guida vs Sherk might be an interesting matchup couple of great wrestlers. Too bad it will never happen, but its fun to think what if ??

Gracie was arrested on Friday for allegedly stealing a car and trying to swipe a motorcycle, and he reportedly attacked three vehicle owners in the process. After a toxicology test revealed a variety of drugs in his system, Gracie was transported to a police station, where he was found dead the next morning.
According to a report from G1 News, Gracie tested positive for cocaine, marijuana and an unidentified anti-anxiety prescription drug.
Thursday's episode with the law wasn't the fighter's first. He was arrested in 2000 for apparently stabbing a man in a Rio de Janeiro nightclub.
Gracie (5-2), a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, was the grandson of Carlos Gracie, who co-founded the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu art with brother Helio Gracie. The 33-year-old Brazilian fought professionally from 2000-2004, exclusively for the now-dismantled PRIDE organization. He finished his career with four consecutive victories, which included three first-round stoppages.
Gracie had been a training partner of Renzo Gracie, one of the family's most-accomplished fighters.

Thats a shame. This reminds me of when Rockson Gracie died Rickson's son. The Gracie name seems to slip away more and more form the prestige and legendary status it had during Carlos Sr and Helio's day.. Helio must be very hurt.

UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture, who resigned from the UFC in October over what he perceived to be a lack of respect from the organization, is counting down the days to his contract-expiration date, and he's leaving open the possibility of fighting former PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko.
Couture was in Dallas over the weekend for "HDNet Fights: Reckless Abandon." The event included a few Xtreme Couture fighters, including victorious Frank Trigg and Jay White. However, the 44-year-old UFC hall-of-famer couldn't avoid the inevitable questions about his future.
While a guest on the HDNet broadcast of Saturday's event, Couture said he'd still like to fight Emelianenko. While still with the UFC, Couture expressed his desire to battle the legendary Russian fighter, but when UFC President Dana White couldn't make it happen, Couture cited it as a reason he wanted to leave the organization.
During the broadcast, Couture said the soonest he could fight Emelianenko would be October 2008, when both his fight contract (July) and employment contract (October) expire.
It became a hot topic again in a post-fight press conference.
"I'm not sure what's going to happen with me at this point," Couture said. "I have a contract with the UFC that I have to honor. I can't breach that or I'll end up in litigation, so I don't intend to do that.
"That contract expires in July, and we'll see what happens after that."
Emelianenko recently signed a non-exclusive, long-term deal with M-1 Global, an organization that was recently purchased from Emelianenko's manager and restructured by its American investors.
The organization is allowing Emelianenko to compete New Year's Eve at a show in Japan against the 7-foot-2 Hong Man Choi (1-0).
Couture weighed in on the match-up.

I think Huerta outskills Clay in all areas, but Huerta is usually the one setting the pace. In this one I think Guida is gonna set a really fast pace, so I guess we will have to see how Huerta handles that. I would like to see Huerta finish this year strong and look forward to some high level competition in 2008!

I don't think Ali would have gotten into Lee's head. Bruce Lee was a very strong, confident, and emotionally balanced person. I wonder if Lee's reach would have been an issue therby forcing him to turn it into a kicking game or grappling match. I wonder how much of a ground game Lee actually had.

I was curious why we can't use small joint manipulation, like finger locks in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I wonder if these locks were originally a part of the earlier Jiu Jitsu systems, but were taken out for sport.
